E=MC2 The Epic Ballad of Angus McCready
This song was written in memory of my good friend Angus McCready. He was an amazing musician, composer, improvisor and played double bass. I wrote the song by the banks of Merri Creek in Victoria. He lived in Crystal Waters by the banks of the Mary River. I miss his beautiful soul and remember him with these photos. https://youtu.be/hvtCzKJbagw‘Esperanza’ recorded live in Habana, Cuba
Esparenza a song about hope for the future. A combination of cultures creating a new world music sound with exquisite flute harmonies and improvisation, polyrhythmic acoustic guitar rounded and vibed with a funky bass and latin percussion. It was recorded in Habana, Cuba, featuring Lázaro Erick Diaz Pozo (percussion, singer, lyrics writer), Amanda Kay (composer, guitarist), Marisel Martinez Arias (flute) and Jimmy E Guerra Borges on bass. Thank you to the crew at Septeto National, Jorge Andres Campos (niño), sound engineer, and the team for being part of this passionate tune in my musical project to create a CD of 'Travelling Songs' I appreciate the musicians involved in all the songs recorded in this lively Cuba session. Lázaro Erick, Amaury Martí Vaźguez, Jacinto Tamayo, Pedro, Marisel Martinez Arias, Jimmy E Guerra Borges for the great musicianship and Edwardo Tomas Mesa (masterer), Jorge Andres Campos (sound engineer and capture artist), Chino (gatekeeper) and Frank 'El Matador' Oropesa (managing director) for the time and help to catch the sound. Songs from this session in Cuba and the Jamaican Mexican Australian tracks captured in Puerto Vallarta with MP Raccoon will be being released soon.Esparenza studio recording and clip

Working with MP Raccoon she has combined her song writing skills with his Reggae and R&B engineering skills to create a completely new style. More about this exciting project coming soon.Thank you Canada
I have been enjoying sharing the music across Canada. Excellent times sharing the music in at CFUV in Victoria, at Green FM, The Curio Shop and The Treehouse on Salt Spring, at Sunstroke Festival and Epic Pizza in Whitehorse, at the Vogue, Doolin's Pub and Patricia's Hotel in Vancouver, at the Royal and Kootenay Co-op Radio in Nelson (winding my way down to Baker St), at Fibonacci's in Penticton, at Infinatea and The Brickhouse (near Baker Ave) in Fernie, at Maw's (surprisingly there's a bar here called the Brickhouse too), La Garage and Kings Hotel in Winnipeg, singing with the happy crowd in Medicine Hat, at Free Times Cafe, The Only Cafe, The Cage and Annette's Studio in Toronto and at Upstairs Jazz and Diese Onze in Montreal. So many beautiful souls to share the musical journey with. Thank you all. Here is a link to a jam I had late one evening with the irrepressible Kumaran Reddy and some photos from the journey. Dalai Lama performance
Amanda Kay and The Transformers Choir perform for the Dalai Lama at the Happiness and its Causes conference in 2011 After the performance he came and spoke to us. He enjoyed the music and complimented us all when he said "You and me..., and me and you..., and you and me..., we are the same". His warmth and generosity was a pleasure to be near. A very happy person reminding us happiness is in us all. The songs laid down over the last few weeks with Fer Civeira at his studio had their first airing on this vibrant show. Live gigs at The Beer Hall and Cafe Xpressart were well attended and entertaining with unique fusion of musical styles. New recordings beginning in Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific Coast of Mexico with the Reggae master Mourice Porter sound promising. Thank you Mexico.Xpression
